Card Techniques for June and July
I know that I am behind on my card techniques. I apologize to those of you who may check this site on a regular basis. These are my card techniques for June and July. The technique for June is called faux silk. This is the card that I madeThis is how you make it. First you stamp your image on tissue paper. Then if you want to add color you can add it very carefully. I didn't to it to this one. Then you take your tissue paper and you crumple it up. Then you flatten it out again and use a glue stick to go oven entire piece of cardstock. Then you adhere the tissue paper to it. You fold in all the excess behind it then you finish up the card.
The technique for July was making a purse out of the round tab punch. I got the idea for this at http://stampinwithkaren.blogspot.com/. You punch out of designer paper using the round tab punch, fold over. Then you make a handle using the small and large oval punches. This is the card I used with that technique. I changed the colors and used the cuttlebug embossing folder to add some texture. This is the card that I made for July. We made both of these cards at my Stamp Club last night and it was a lot of fun!!!
